Day 12
What a otter joy...
So I wrote today’s haiku before I went on my ritual walk. On these walks, I pause outside my home, check in with my body, find a direction and go. I allow myself to wander off in thought and then come back to the moment, to take in the colours, the flowers, or as the gift of today, an otter swimming in the river. It was the first time I have seen an otter and I was just so happy and excited. So here is are the three lines, and a picture. May this practice bring you, your own otter moment.
What is happening right now?
Sense. Be unfamiliar, or curious with familiar.
Name. Pause. Check. Sense. Reorient.
Yesterday I was in our favourite bookshop, Mr B’s Emporium. I saw a book that caught my eye, one always does, “A point of beauty - true stories of holding on and letting go”. I have so many books in my reading pile, I walked out with only a picture reminder, but I did find the Moth podcast series on Spotify and started listening today. I have started at the beginning, although this link is to the most recent episode. Enjoy.
